MECHANICAL DE-SCALER
Mechanical
De-Scaler is used to remove the scales, from wire rod before it passes
through the first die. It is placed between flipping type pay-off
device and first block of Wire Drawing.
Basically,
mechanical de-scaling is achieved by flexing the rod over pulleys to
break loose and remove the high temperature scale on the rod.
Three horizontal and three vertical pulleys are given to flex the wire rod and to remove the scales from the same.
These pulleys are
made of high quality alloy steel duly hardened for longer life and they
run on standard size ball bearing for smooth operation.
